Madrid, Spain Trip pt 1

Madrid is an incredible capital city in the heart of Spain. The city is a place full of beautiful art, architecture, music and home to some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. The city itself is very accessible, it is great public transportation (bus/subway) but even better it’s super walkable. At a relax pace it took about a hour to walk from the bull ring to Plaza Mayor which they’re clear across town from each other. So if you’re some what in shape navigating the city on foot shouldn’t be a problem. The city is a hot bed for art lovers. It has some of the most important pieces of art in history at one of their many world class museums. The city itself is also gorgeous with their magnificent squares and perfectly manicured public parks. For the foodie in me, I was told it didn’t mattered where I go to eat it’s all going to be terrific and it was. Although I did do the research and highly avoided tourists traps. All in all some of the best food I’ve ever had in my life. The culture runs deep here as it should. They have a huge appreciation and respect for their crafts/traditions that are centuries old. Whether it be making art, cooking, music, dancing, playing futbol or even bull fighting it all a real special meaning to the city. As I find to be case in most of the world’s greatest cities. The locals are friendly, the city looks clean and feels relatively safe even at night. For my first trip to Spain I had a great experience in Madrid especially being a artist and a foodie. Also it doesn’t hurt that I’m a Real Madrid fan too, Vamos Real Madrid!
